A Foot In The Crease - Episode 2.39

The Stanley Cup Finals finally got underway at the beginning of last week and so far the Ducks hold a 2-1 series lead through three games. We recap the first three games of the finals in the Playoff Recap portion of the Redline Report and touch on some controversy involving Daniel Alfredsson and Chris Pronger. Later on Sunday afternoon after we had finished recording the show, it was announced that Chris Pronger was assessed a one game suspension for his hit on Dean McAmmond in game three of the series. As a result, Pronger will not be in uniform for the Ducks when Ottawa attempts to tie the series at two games apiece in game four on Monday evening.

Also in the Redline Report, we have Leaf Notes regarding Mats Sundin and rookie defenseman Phil Oreskovic along with an update on the wanderings of Jim Balsillie. To conclude the Redline Report, we touch on several Quick Hits relating to Cam Ward, Glen Wesley, Andre Markov, Taylor Pyatt, Matthew Lombardi, Marcus Nilson, Dan Maloney and Craig Hartsburg.

On The Bubble feature another portion of Listener Email and a Troubling Fact of the Week. Rigamarole looks at the issue of potentially allowing goals kicked into the net.
