Sin Bin Show - Episode 25

In Episode 25 of the Sin Bin Show hockey podcast we took a deep look at the conference finals of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. While we only had four games to cover, we still managed to somehow make it the longest episode yet. We started off with a fairly heated debate over what happened at the end of game 2 in the Detroit/Dallas series. After that we broke down that entire series, and then wrapped the show up looking at the first two games of the Pittsburgh/Philadelphia series.

Sin Bin Show - Episode 20

In the 20th episode of the Sin Bin Show hockey podcast the news entirely revolved around the upcoming NHL Playoffs. We broke down both conferences and gave our predictions as to which teams will make the playoffs and where they will place. Because of that we skipped the Team of the Week this episode. One segment that we never skip though, the Three Stars of the Week, remained, and as usual closed out the show.

Sin Bin Show - Episode 19

It would have been a disservice to our listeners if we didn’t cover what we affectionately call the Pronger Stomp. But it would have been a bigger disservice if we hadn’t responded to a listener email first. We also recapped the NHL’s plans to take the game abroad yet again to start the next season. In the Team of the Week we looked at the dominant play of the San Jose Sharks. As always we finished the 19th episode of the Sin Bin Show hockey podcast with the Three Stars of the Week.

Sin Bin Show - Episode 18

Episode 18 of the Sin Bin Show hockey podcast was all about the NHL trade deadline and the huge deals that erupted out of it. We took a look at the biggest of those deals, Hossa to the Penguins, Richards to the Stars, the Capitals nabbing Huet, and the Sharks landing Brian Campbell. In the Team of the Week segment we looked at the banged up and struggling Detroit Red Wings. As always, we wrapped the show up with the Three Stars of the Week.

Sin Bin Show - Episode 17

For Episode 17 of the Sin Bin Show hockey podcast we started things with an international edge. In our first story Peter Forsberg finally gave the NHL an answer as to whether he would be returning. Moving along we looked at the huge contract extension that New York Rangers gave to their main man between the pipes, Henrik Lundqvist. Philadelphia made a return to the Team of the Week. This time it was a more negative appearance as we struggled to look for the good things going on for this team right now. As always we wrapped the show up with the Three Stars of the Week.

Sin Bin Show - Episode 16

Unfortunately we had to start episode 16 of the Sin Bin hockey podcast by talking about the worst tragedy the NHL has seen in years. This of course was the skate that Richard Zednik took to the carotid artery. After that we moved on to less dreadful news, as we looked at the four player trade between the Ottawa Senators and Carolina Hurricanes. For the Team of the Week we looked at the Dallas Stars who are quietly making there way to the top of the NHL. As always we finished off the show with the Three Stars of the Week.

Sin Bin Show - Episode 15

Had it not been for the inclusion of a third news story this week we could have called Episode 15 of the Sin Bin Show the episode about the bad boys of the NHL. We started the show off by talking about Antripov’s stick throwing incident, and then moved east across Ontario to look at Ray Emery’s bad behavior of late. Keeping the news north of the border was Steve Yzerman and his latest job announcement. The Team of the Week also has ties to Canada as it was the Montreal Canadians. As always we wrapped up the show with the Three Stars of the Week, including the infamous Sin Bin Player of the Week.

Sin Bin Show - Episode 14

We have reached what is generally considered the half-way point of the NHL season. With that of course comes the All Star game. But before we jumped into our coverage of the event we had to discuss the return of Teemu Selanne to the Ducks. Our Team of the Week this episode was the Montreal Canadians. As usual we wrapped up the show with the Three Stars of the Week which was wrought with controversy!

Sin Bin Show - Episode 13

We made it through episode 13 of the Sin Bin Show without any hiccups this week! That is the good news. The bad news came in the first story we covered: Crosby is hurt. To round out the news segment we looked at some of the trade rumors that have been swirling about. In the Team of the Week we looked at the Philadelphia Flyers who have kept pace with the Devils and Penguins to tie them for the lead in the Atlantic Division. As always we finished off the show with the Three Stars of the Week. This time the segment’s Sin Bin Player of the Week could have fit in to the top two spots with his offensive numbers, but with his gritty play he earned the third spot.

Sin Bin Show - Episode 12

Episode 12 of the Sin Bin Show took a little longer to record than usual. The length of the show wasn’t really affected as it was only 24 minutes. We had numerous problems while recording it though. Hopefully you won’t notice any issues, but if you do we apologize for them in advance. It was a great show though. We kicked it off by talking about the huge contract extension that Alexander Ovechkin signed, and then we rounded out the news segment by looking at the starting line-ups for the NHL All Star Game. In the Team of the Week segment we discussed how well the Pittsburgh Penguins have been doing of late. As always we wrapped up the show with the Three Stars of the Week including the Sin Bin Player of the Week.

Sin Bin Show - Episode 11

Episode 11 took a little bit longer to get out than expected due to some computer problems and the holidays, but it was still packed with news from around the world of hockey. We started things off by looking at the Chris Simon suspension and whether he even deserves to play in the NHL anymore. We moved on to a much better story for hockey, the Winter Classic. We finally had a western conference team to talk about in the Team of the Week. It was the Dallas Stars. As usual we capped off the show with the Three Stars of the Week, including a very deserving Sin Bin Player of the Week.
