A Foot In The Crease - Episode 19

For our 19th episode wrapping up the week between Christmas and New Year's, we have a look back at the games the Leafs played against the Sabres, Penguins, Devils and Bruins. Who's Hot Who's Not pays a compliment to Jaromir Jagr and slots the netminders of the Colorado Avalanche and Sean Donovan in the "Not" category. In addition to game recaps, The Redline Report looks at the Leafs injury situation and Wayne Gretzky's return to the Coyotes bench. On The Bubble details the progress of Team Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championships and profiles Ryan Miller all part of the Weekly Player Feature. Rigamarole shares a few New Year's Resolutions the Leafs could make that would help to ensure their success in the second part of the season.

Special Episode: A Foot In The Crease and The Dallas Stars Podcast

This past Sunday, Dave and I from A Foot In The Crease recorded a special joint conversation podcast with Scott of The Dallas Stars Podcast. We discuss the Leafs and Stars game from Saturday night, examine various issues regarding both teams, and look at league-wide topics from both a Western and Eastern conference perspective.

This was our first time doing a joint podcast, and we'd like to thank Scott for bringing this all together. We hope to produce more special episodes in the future.

In this week's episode of A Foot In The Crease on Remembrance Day we pay tribute to those who fought in the wars of the last century and in Rigamarole we look at the many Leaf players, under Conn Smythe, who were encourage to enlist to fight. We recap the Leaf games of the past week and in the main segment we discuss the Hockey Hall of Fame inductions and speculate on those who should be inducted in the years to come. On The Bubble looks at the last week in the Toronto Marlies season and our weekly play profile features Dion Phaneuf.

Rigamarole takes a deeper look at Sundin's return and its repercussions for the Leaf lineup.

For Episode 10 of A Foot In The Crease, we look back at the Maple Leafs previous week's games and discuss important happenings that occurred. "Who's Hot, Who's Not" features Jason Williams in the hot column and the Edmonton Oilers in the not column. We also take a look at the Martin Brodeur injury and discuss the olympic implications it may have for Team Canada, along with the fine received by Leafs Coach Pat Quinn for objectionable comments pertaining to the new style of play. "On The Bubble" features Hannu Toivonen of the Boston Bruins along with a brief look back at the Toronto Marlies only game of the week. Rigamarole touches on the seemingly league-wide demise of some of the game's established goaltenders.

A Foot In The Crease - Episode 8

For the second week of the NHL season we bring our longest episode yet - jam-packed with everything you need to know about the Leafs and the rest of the NHL. We discuss in detail the controversial Thrashers-Leafs match-up along with brief reviews of the three other Leaf games this past week. Other topics included an update on Sundin, injury issues with the Bruins and the fine performances of Lindros and Allison. We also feature Who's Hot, Who's Not and On The Bubble featuring Ian White. Rigamarole discussions the youth revival in the NHL.
