A Foot In The Crease - Episode 2.22 Featuring Bob McKenzie

It’s the “triple two” edition of AFITC: Episode 2.22. For this week’s program, the “feel good” version, we bring you all the jubilant news from Leafs Nation as the Maple Leafs recorded a perfect week and then some stretching their winning streak started last Saturday against Montreal to four games with wins against Carolina, New York (Rangers) and Ottawa. The Revolving Door includes updates on Darcy Tucker, Andy Wozniewski and the newest edition to this club, Boyd Deveraux. What To Be-Leaf looks at and makes sense of the five round playoff war the Maple Leafs are apart of this season. The Redline Report is concluded with yet another update on the Flight of the Penguins Saga, a discussion regarding Brendan Shanahan’s displeasure toward the referees and Sheldon Souray’s tom foolery against Pittsburg, and some Quick Hits on Craig Conroy and the AHL All Star Game.

Listener email kicks off On The Bubble with a look at your thoughts on a variety of topics. Bob McKenzie, NHL Insider on TSN, drops by at the end of this segment and discusses what to expect as the NHL Trade Deadline approaches and tells us which players may in fact be on the bubble. Rigamarole explains why jersey retirement ceremonies are too long and what can be done to correct them for the benefit of both the honoured player and the proceeding game.

Special thanks to Bob McKenzie for spending some time with us on the program this week despite his tremendously busy schedule! You will not want to miss what he has to say regarding the Maple Leafs, Sundin, Tucker, the Hurricanes, the Ducks, and Forsberg at the trade deadline among other topics discussed.

Do not miss next week’s program as it will feature The Babble Of Ontario #2 with the fellows from Sens Underground.
