Crash the Net Podcast - Season 2 Episode 3

This week we continue to focus solely on the Detroit Red Wings and Pittsburgh Penguins in our podcast. Again if you would like to get caught up on the news from around the rest of the NHL you can check out our other show at www.sinbinshow.com. We missed recording last week's episode due to a lot of computer problems that I was having. We thought about covering all the games we had missed, but we didn't want the show to be really long, so we just focused on the last few games for each team. This week we also started something new. At the end of each team's recap we are now making predictions for the upcoming week.

Sin Bin Show - Episode 5

We started this week off with some bad news for a lot of teams and their goaltenders. The rest of the news stories were comprised of significantly better news. In the middle section of the show we covered two contract extensions. One that was very profitable for the player and the other that was very beneficial for the team. We finished the show off by covering the latest hiring of a new executive director of the NHLPA.

Episode 3.8 of AFITC comes your way today bringing light at the end of the tunnel for Maple Leaf fans. Sin Bin Show - Episode 4

This week we finally had three stories we could joke about! No suspensions, and no head-hunting. We did have to start the show off with some bad news though, at least for Bob Hartley as he was fired in Atlanta. Next we looked into the NHL testing heated skate blades. We capped the show off with the red hot Ottawa Senators and their acquisition of Randy Robitaille.

A Foot In The Crease - Episode 3.6

Episode 3.6 of AFITC comes your way today as we venture to get the show back to our regular recording time of Sunday. In today’s program, we discuss the back and forth efforts of the Maple Leafs to establish some consistency in their play. This week, two discouraging losses at the hands of the Carolina Hurricanes and Pittsburgh Penguins bookend an impressive victory over the New York Islanders. We pass along injury updates pertaining to Kyle Wellwood, Carlo Colaiacovo and Alexei Ponikarovsky in the Revolving Door. We saw more on-ice nastiness this week, this time care of Jesse Boulerice. He was handed a significant suspension and we discuss its ramifications in the Redline Report. To conclude that segment, we feature two Quick Hits pertaining to the business side of the game: one on the possible announcement of Paul Kelly as the new Executive Director of the NHLPA and the other on Jim Balsillie’s renewed interest in the Nashville Predators.

On The Bubble has more Listener Email along with a Troubling Fact of the Week. Rigamarole discusses the continuing plight of Bryan McCabe.
