A Foot In The Crease - Episode 2.32

Episode 2.32 marks the beginning of our playoff coverage on AFITC. Without the Maple Leafs to centre the show around, this week's program takes on a bit of a change in format compared with our regular season shows. Nevertheless we begin the Redline Report with news from the aftermath of the Maple Leafs' season. We relate comments from the mouth of Mats Sundin concerning his future with the team, discuss Carlo Colaiacovo's most recent injury and let you know which Leafs will be participating in the upcoming World Hockey Championships beginning at the end of April in Moscow, Russia. We also update you on the progress of the eight quarter-final matchups and share some Quick Hits to conclude the Redline Report.

In On The Bubble, we read some more exceptional email received this past week through our email afootinthecrease@gmail.com and through our Facebook group, A Foot In The Crease Fans. This week's Troubling Fact of the Week is inspired by the bizarre decision by the NHL to give NBC first right of refusal for scheduling instead of the CBC.

Rigamarole looks at the potential interest in expanding the playoffs to include extra teams at the end of the regular season.

A Foot In The Crease - Episode 2.30

After an official recount determined that we had lost count of the total number of shows, today we bring you bring Episode 2.30, actually our 76th show all time. So for those of you who had planned special 75th Edition of AFITC listening parties with popcorn, cake, chips, pretzels and brews, we are afraid you will have to go back and re-listen to last week's show. Terribly sorry if this has ruined your week!

The play of the Maple Leafs this past week though should serve as pleasant news in the wake of this unfortunate discovery. Five out of a possible six points this past week in games against the Carolina Hurricanes, Atlanta Thrashers and Pittsburgh Penguins leaves the Maple Leafs in control of their own destiny as their drive toward the 2007 playoffs continues. To begin the Redline Report, as always we recap said games and provide an update on the statuses of Michael Peca and Karel Pilar in the Revolving Door. What To Be-Leaf explains the necessary course of action this week for the Maple Leafs to secure a playoff spot and discusses why Mats Sundin's goalless drought is concerning but not detrimental. To conclude the Redline Report, we tell you the award Carlo Colaiacovo was nominated for; discuss the injury situation of Rick Dipietro and finish with some quick hits regarding Jack Johnson of the LA Kings and Martin Biron of Philadelphia Flyers.

On The Bubble features perhaps one of the best editions of listener email this season. A Dominik Hasek is scattered somewhere within this segment as well.

Rigamarole discusses the unrivaled greatness of Tomas Kaberle.
